Sagar Samrat Production Platform

OCS Services has secured an O&M contract with ONGC for Sagar Samrat production platform. The commissioning of the unit is expected soon and the contract is for a duration of 6 years with provision of extension for additional 2 years.

Sagar Samrat was a jack-up drilling rig which was converted to a Mobile Offshore Production Unit (MOPU). The requirement of MOPU was to develop WO-16 cluster field located in Mumbai High field, 140-145 km west of Mumbai. The platform will be located adjacent to the ONGC’s existing WO-16 well head platform (WHP) in 76m of water depth. The MOPU is designed to handle a total 20,000 BOPD with maximum export gas 2.36 mmscmd.

Scope of Work

Operation & Maintenance

  • Operate & Maintain the facility with expected efficiency & effectiveness
  • Adherence to management systems
    • QHSSE
    • Asset Integrity
    • Maintenance
    • Inventory
  • Ensure adherence to the contractual requirement in terms of product/ byproduct quality (Oil/ Gas/ Produced Water)
  • Develop Inventory Management Philosophy and modify CMMS accordingly

Turnaround Management

  • Devise turnaround duration and plan the activities
  • Sharing of the plan with the client to include client specific activities
  • Execute and complete the turnaround and submit the closure report

Back Office Support

  • Technical support to offshore O&M
  • Development of onshore team
  • Timely intimation to client for procurement of relevant spares & services
  • Reporting structure and communication protocol development as per the Client requirement
