OCS Services is looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Welder to support offshore and onshore operations within our Oil & Gas projects.

This role will be responsible for carrying out welding, fabrication, repair, and maintenance activities on piping systems, structural components, and mechanical equipment while ensuring compliance with approved welding procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.

The position focuses on delivering high-quality welding work, supporting asset reliability, maintaining operational integrity, and ensuring safe execution of fabrication and maintenance activities across FPSO and project sites.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Welder to support fabrication, maintenance, and repair activities on offshore assets and related facilities.

This role will work closely with supervisors, fitters, riggers, inspectors, and maintenance personnel to ensure safe and efficient execution of welding activities while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

What You Will Do:

In this role, you will:

Welding & Fabrication

  • Perform Arc, TIG, MIG welding and gas cutting operations on pipelines, structural components, and mechanical equipment.
  • Carry out fabrication, fit-up, and welding of pipes, flanges, supports, and structural assemblies.
  • Execute repair welding on pumps, valves, compressors, and piping systems to restore equipment to operational condition.
  • Prepare materials and surfaces for welding through grinding, beveling, cleaning, and edge preparation.
  • Perform gouging, cutting, and removal of defective welds followed by re-welding as required.

Quality & Technical Execution

  • Interpret engineering drawings, isometric sketches, welding symbols, and fabrication diagrams.
  • Ensure compliance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and applicable welding codes such as ASME and AWS.
  • Maintain proper welding parameters, heat input, electrode selection, and welding consumables.
  • Assist in flange alignment, tack welding, dimensional checks, and fit-up activities prior to final welding.
  • Support pressure testing, leak testing, and inspection activities by ensuring welds meet required acceptance criteria and NDT readiness standards.

Safety & Compliance

  • Strictly adhere to Permit-to-Work (PTW), Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), Hot Work Permit, and all safety procedures.
  • Participate in Toolbox Talks, Job Risk Assessments (JRA), and hazard identification activities.
  • Ensure safe handling and storage of welding consumables, gas cylinders, and equipment.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards in work areas and contribute to a strong safety culture.

Equipment Maintenance & Operational Support

  • Maintain welding machines, tools, cables, electrodes, gas cylinders, and associated equipment in safe working condition.
  • Support shutdowns, turnarounds, commissioning, and decommissioning activities.
  • Collaborate effectively with project teams to meet operational and project schedules.
  • Maintain accurate records of welding activities, consumable usage, repair work, and inspection requirements.

What We Are Looking For

  • Qualifications:
  • ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Relevant Welding Certifications preferred.
  • ABS, DNV, AWS, ASME, or equivalent welding certifications

  • Experience:
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant welding experience.
  • Mandatory experience in Offshore, Marine, Oil & Gas, FPSO, Petrochemical, Refinery, or Process Industry environments.
  • Experience in maintenance, fabrication, and repair welding activities.

  • Technical Knowledge:
  • Strong knowledge of Arc, TIG, MIG welding, gas cutting, and fabrication processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding documentation.
  • Familiarity with welding codes, standards, and inspection requirements.
  • Understanding of NDT readiness and quality control requirements.
  • Knowledge of PTW, LOTO, and offshore safety procedures.

Work Environment

  • This role involves working in offshore and onshore Oil & Gas facilities, including FPSO operations.
  • The position requires adherence to strict safety standards and may involve rotational schedules, shutdown activities, and physically demanding work environments.
