As part of our offshore operations team, we are looking to onboard a Lead Electrical – Marine to support the Ruby FPSO. This role will focus on maintaining and optimizing marine electrical systems, ensuring operational reliability, safety and regulatory compliance.

What You Will Do:

In this role, you will:

  • Maintain and troubleshoot hull-side electrical equipment including engines, generators, HVAC, refrigeration and living quarters.
  • Maintain power generation, UPS, battery banks, switchgear and HV/LV distribution systems.
  • Maintain marine navigation, communication, cargo handling and crane electrical systems.
  • Support topside electrical maintenance whenever required.
  • Plan maintenance activities and maintain CMMS records.
  • Ensure compliance with PTW, LOTO and regulatory requirements.
  • Support Management of Change, incident investigations and vendor activities.
  • Maintain critical spares, tools and consumables.
  • Mentor and train onboard electrical technicians.
  • Review procedures and drive continuous improvement.

What We Are Looking For

  • Qualifications:
  • BE/Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
  • Valid Indian ETO Certificate of Competency and mandatory STCW certifications.
  • High Voltage certification (6.6kV/11kV). CompEx certification is advantageous.

  • Experience:
  • 10 years (BE) / 15 years (Diploma).
  • Experience on FPSO, FLNG, FSO or Oil/LNG Tankers.
  • Strong knowledge of HV systems, PLC/Automation, VFDs, Protection Relays, Marine Electrical Systems and SAP CMMS.

This leadership role is responsible for managing mechanical maintenance activities, supervising engineering operations, ensuring equipment reliability, and driving operational excellence across the facility.

What You Will Do:

In this role, you will:

  • Assist in managing and controlling the Maintenance Department.
  • Plan, organize, and supervise mechanical maintenance activities across process, marine, and utility systems.
  • Oversee engine room watchkeeping duties and utility system operations.
  • Perform condition monitoring, troubleshooting, and reliability improvement of mechanical equipment.
  • Manage maintenance planning and execution using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with operations and other departments.
  • Administer Management of Change (MoC) for mechanical modifications.
  • Supervise housekeeping standards within machinery spaces and workshops.
  • Manage workshop equipment, tools, and maintenance resources.
  • Supervise bunkering operations.
  • Participate in pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
  • Assist in maintenance budgeting and expenditure control.
  • Ensure adequate inventory of mechanical spare parts and consumables.
  • Ensure compliance with the Permit to Work (PTW) system.
  • Review maintenance records and ensure CMMS data remains accurate and up to date.

What We Are Looking For

  • Qualifications:
  • Engineering Graduate or
  • Four-year apprenticeship from a DG-recognized shipyard with a Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency.
  • Strong management and superintendent-level leadership skills.

  • Experience:
  • Minimum 10 years of engineering experience.
  • At least 10 years of offshore Oil & Gas processing facilities and marine systems experience.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as Maintenance Supervisor on an FPSO/FPU.

  • Technical Knowledge:
  • Strong understanding of marine, mechanical, and utility systems.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Knowledge of Permit to Work systems and Management of Change procedures.
  • Experience in maintenance planning, equipment troubleshooting, and reliability improvement.
  • Understanding of offshore safety regulations and engineering best practices.

This role will work closely with clients, project teams, subcontractors, procurement, logistics, and offshore personnel to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Project Management & Execution

  • Lead and coordinate offshore EPC project execution from project initiation through completion.
  • Develop, monitor, and update project schedules to ensure timely execution and delivery.
  • Coordinate with internal project teams, clients, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor project productivity, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to minimize delays.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary interface for project-related communication with clients.

  • Ensure all procurement, fabrication, dispatch, and installation activities are aligned with the project execution plan.

Commercial & Project Controls

  • Monitor project milestones, invoice tracking, and payment follow-ups.
  • Validate subcontractor invoices and ensure timely processing.
  • Prepare and review Daily Progress Reports (DPR), Weekly Progress Reports (WPR), and Monthly Progress Reports (MPR).
